KNEE PAIN REDUCED OR ELIMINATED
BY PROLOTHERAPY

By Dr. Marc Darrow, M.D., Founder Of The Prolotherapy Institute

Most Knee Pain Causes Can Be Successfully Treated With
Prolotherapy To Reduce Or Eliminate Pain

Prolotherapy injections have been instrumental in avoidance of needless knee surgeries in my Los Angeles clinic. Many of my patients have already had one or two or three knee surgeries by the time they see me in hopes of avoiding a knee replacement, and undergoing the pain and time lost as they recover from surgery.

All types of musculoskeletal pain that heal from Prolotherapy treatment, including:

  • knee cap pain
    worn knee joint with pain
    lateral knee pain
    chronic knee pain
    meniscal tear
    anserinus tendon
    degenerative knee joint disease
    ACL
    MCL
    iliotibial band injury
    patellofemoral pain
    tendon injury, sports injury, ligament,
    knee tendinosis
    Osgood Schlatter's disease
    osteoarthritis
    knee instability

Knees do, however, often heal faster than other body parts.

Many other syndromes or injuries disappear after Prolotherapy treatments.

Instead of an MRI, I first use my hands to find the pain spots. If I can find the proper lower back pain spots, most patients can be healed with Prolotherapy injections.

It is a simple procedure that stimulates the immune system to bring inflammation to the pain area, with fibroblastic activity that actually grows new tissue and regenerates the area. This brings relief from the pain by stabilizing the area and rejuvenates it to its pre-injury state.
